Funny thing about vacations, you're never quite sure what to do with them once you're there. Unless you have a significant other who plans it for you. Maybe that's a purely dude mentality, but left to my own devices I think I'd almost always choose to just sleep in and hang out all day and do nothing special in particular. Yesterday all I did was edit Episode 2 of Hot for Con and to be quite honest it was a lot of fun. Both yesterday and today I read because the book I'm reading (Retromancer) is stupid amounts of fun. Haven't played any video games and haven't gone anywhere amazing yet, but I've been relaxing.
Kinda.
Today I worked out with one of my favoriate Ex's. I'm fortunate to have remained friends with most of my ex girlfriends and for the most part they're fantastic people in their own ways. Ex's are also a fountain of knowledge since they've put up with your shit before and usually have no qualms telling what you could do to improve yourself. This one in particular works out like the fate of the world rests on it and it's a terrifying thing to be apart of. I thought my work out was pretty brutal, but I've found that I've only been playing in the kiddie pools compared the olympic training montage she does with unsettling ease. Her focus is unwavering, it's almost like she's trying to psyche out her sweat.
Her next boyfriend, god save his soul, will either be a Greek God or very dead by way of a fatal leg curling accident.
I'm feeling good about my body now, for the first time in a very long time. My devotion to this Hot for Con thing is solid, and even my cravings are starting to change. When I started this healthy thing (a month or so before my Hot for Con thing) I would just crave bad foods all day long. I couldn't stop thinking about them, and now it's like I've kicked a habit or something and the cravings have bended to the healthy side of things. It's unexpected, and I welcome it.
Healthy living, you fucker, come on in and have a beer (light). Lets play pool and you tell me whats been up with ya.
